Steven W. Kraus

Mr. Kraus has been a partner and a trial attorney in our White Plains office over the past five years. Steven received his BA in History and Political Science from the University of Richmond in 1982 and is J.D. from the University of Bridgeport School of Law in 1985. Mr. Kraus attended Albany Law School during the academic year of 1984-85. For the past 20 years, Mr. Kraus has concentrated his practice in the representation of the medical profession with emphasis in the defense of medical malpractice actions. Inclusive of this focus has been the advocacy of physicians and hospitals in all phases of litigation including trial. Steven has represented physicians, hospitals and nursing organizations in the Supreme courts of the City of New York, Nassau and Suffolk counties as well as the Supreme Courts of the Hudson Valley region including Westchester, Rockland, Orange, Putnam, Dutchess, Greene and Albany counties.

Other areas of practice include complex litigation involving products liability, toxic torts and general liability matters. Steven has also lectured at in-service training seminars for hospital based physicians, residents and nurses.

Mr. Kraus is admitted to practice in the States of New York and Connecticut and the United States District Court for the Northern District of New York. Prior to establishing a career based in White Plains, New York in 1990, Steven practiced in Albany, New York. Mr. Kraus is the Deputy Managing Attorney in our White Plains office.
